Pastries & Me

Over the years I've quietly built a loyal following here in Mangawhai where every Saturday you'll find regulars and plenty of new faces heading to my stall for their favourite pastries at The Mangawhai Community Market. I feel incredibly lucky to have become one of Mangawhai's go to pastry chefs. My focus is on honest, traditional baking. I use the best quality organic and spray free ingredients where I can and I've imported classic European baking equipment to support this.

Before settling in Mangawhai I spent years in kitchens in NZ and overseas from whole food to fine dining. I've had the privilege of working alongside some of the greats and those experiences shaped how I cook today. I worked for Peter Chaplin at Musical Knives and at Little Bird UnBakery. I helped open the Engine Room and Bennetts of Mangawhai and worked with Peter Gordon in his restaurants in London and Auckland. Before settling in Mangawhai I set up Little Tart Bakery on Waiheke Island. I've also cooked for artists such as The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Queen and Bob Dylan.

These days what I love most is keeping things simple and beautiful, sharing my passion through baking.
